MNRE announces Effluent Standards for Sanitary Landfill Sites in Thailand

The Thai Government published “Notification of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment on Effluent Standards for Sanitary Landfill Sites B.E. 2565 (2022)” in the Government Gazette on the June 21st, 2022, and stipulated standard for wastewater to be discharged from “Sanitary Landfill” owned by Local Authorities or assigned personnel as follows;

Samples of wastewater shall be

1. collected by Grab Sample Method at the discharge point or others as per prescribed in Article 3.1.

2. analyzed in according to the latest procedures described in Standard Methods for Examination of Water and Wastewater (APHA, AWWA and WEF) or other procedures approved by Environmental Engineering Association of Thailand or as per published by Pollution Control Committee in the Government Gazette.
