The Cabinet has approved a budget of 2.923 billion baht for measures to support the use of electric cars and motorcycles, by subsidizing 18,000 - 150,000 baht/car. according to the Notification of the Excise Department Re: Prescribing criteria, methods, and conditions for receiving rights under measures to support the use of electric vehicles in the category of cars and motorcycles as follows:
1. For a car or a passenger car with no more than 10 seats, BEV type with retail price not more than 2 million baht
1.1) 70,000 (Baht/car) for cars with a battery capacity of 10 kWh but less than 30 kWh.
1.2) 150,000 (Baht/car) for cars with a battery capacity of 30 kilowatt hours or more.
2. 150,000 (Baht/car) for BEV pickup truck with retail price of not more than 2 million baht, which manufactured in the country and the capacity of the battery from 30 kWh or more.
3. 18,000 (Baht/car) for BEV motorcycle with retail price of not more than 150,000 baht
